Team Drift Alliance with drivers Chris Forsberg, Justin Pawlak and John Russakoff won the Formula Drift exhibition at the Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday.

Formula Drfit drivers forced to forge alliance

Formula Drift drivers Michael Essa and Dan Pina were searching for a driver. Cody Parkhouse's teammates crashed in practice on Friday. The three formed a last-minute partnership to compete in today's Formula Drift exhibition at the Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Drift drream come true for Kyle Mohan

Kyle Mohan, who lives in Long Beach and went to Lakewood High School, had to build race cars in secret when he was a teenager. He didn't want his parents to know about his desire to become a race car driver, even though his dad has never missed a Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Mohan, one of the Formula Drift drivers competing this weekend, will be driving a brand Mazda RX8 as part of three-car team with Conrad Grunewald and Samuel Hubinette.
